A Bit About Me
Emily has been working in the counseling field since 2009 when she graduated with her Master of Social Work. She has experience in a variety of settings with clients presenting with depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar, trauma, substance use issues, grief/loss, relationship issues, gender issues, sexuality issues, personal growth and adjustment issues. She has a background in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, MI and SFBT and uses an eclectic approach to get your needs met.

Emily practices a person-centered approach. This means that she makes consistent efforts to understand the client's point of view and integrates that with her knowledge and training. She treats each client as a unique individual.

Emily believes in creating a space for clients to have difficult conversations, work on resolving issues and collaborate on treatment tailored to individual needs and experiences. She recognizes it takes a lot of courage and motivation to reach out for support.
